We will be writing Reader Responses to prompts focusing on the weekly comprehension skills!
Math:
We are wrapping up our unit on Telling Time to the Hour and Half Hour! Keep asking your Raven to read you any clock they see...the more practice the better!
*We will be moving onto 2D and 3D Shapes soon!*
Writing:
We are wrapping up our Friendly Letter and Persuasive Letter unit! Students have written about why they would like a certain pet, and what changes they believe Principal Maranto should make to our school! They are using reasons and evidence to explain their opinions.
Science:
We are still working on our Project Based Learning, which is our Mealworms!
Our Essential Question is:
What is the difference between Living and Non-living things?
We have had several Mealworms become Pupas, and we have already released one Darkling Beetle into the wild! Students are having a blast recording their observations in their Journals, and watching the lifecycle in real-time!
We are so excited to share our findings with you at the Kid's Inquiry Conference!!
Social Studies:
We are continuing to discuss American Symbols, such as the American Flag, the Statue of Liberty, and the Bald Eagle!
